San Francisco Zoo, which I believe had a rather unfortunate Christmas Day in 2007 after a Siberian Tiger 'Tatiana' escaped from her enclosure, killed a man and injured another after being taunted by the two. This was almost exactly a year after she attacked a zookeeper and is believed to be the first animal related fatality at an AZA member zoo.
Quick question @katinakalinakaterina . Are you fascinated with the killer whales at Seaworld? I see by your user name, you reference Katina (1976) and her two daughters Kalina* (1985) and Katerina* (1988). * = deceased
Yes, they've fascinated me for years, much to the chagrin of many lecturers and supervisors who have had to mark and support countless projects on captive killer whales.
