Sanda is born in September 1985, she is still the best breeding hope for the group and has a good relationship with both Lucifer and Luka. I believe the best course of action would be to import at least two young females (8 years of age). They will stand a good chance of breeding with the males down the line and will be more likely to not upset the older females, like Fimi's arrival did. Staff have advised it has been difficult to source these females in Australsia so a European search may have to be undertaken...of course this costs money.

Hamilton Zoo's female hunting dog Rukiaya will hopefully emerge with pups soon. She was due late June to either the dominant male Zumo, or the other male Atsu. The zoo is also home to five other males, all brothers.

The female bobcat has recently passed away and following the death of the ageing male, the enclosure may be converted back into an additional enclosure for the serval Akida.
