Greetings! I'm HappyHagfish (though most just call me Hagfish). I'm a longtime zoo enthusiast, and would love to be able to participate in the chats here. Currently, my local zoo is the Smithsonian's National Zoo here in Washington, D.C., but the Toledo Zoo also has an important place in my heart--I spent a lot of time volunteering there in my teens. Despite my fishy username, I love birds above most other animals, and will never pass up a chance to spent a loooooong time in a quality aviary. I'm a science writer by trade--these days, I only really write about the latest in biomedical science for work, but I'm always keen to hear and share esoteric, weird, or obscure animal stories. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
