Hello, My name is Michael I'm currently studying animal management at Sparsholt college and have had a HUGE passion for animals since I can remember! After I complete my course I hope to do a degree in zoology and become a zookeeper. I also hope to do conservation work in Africa and educate people about the magnificent creatures we share our planet with.
Hello Michael! Welcome to zoochat! Ive the slight suspicion I may already know you from elsewhere. I hope you enjoy your time here.
I love all animals but I more lean towards mammels and birds. I would love to do the animal displays as well, especially with species people don't tend to see in the displays such as binterong and crowned crane for example.
Same here, I'm definately more a mammals guy as you will tell from my posts. My favourites being Great Apes and Big Cats. I always enjoy seeing species I haven't seen before and species displayed in different ways eg. porcupines in a nocturnal house. Also like a zoo with history and heritage listed buildings/features. Visiting London Zoo is always a highlight and even New Zealand's own Auckland Zoo has many features dating back to the 1920s.
By displays I mean talks/displays/shows where you show how the animal is adapted by showing its natural behaviours.
