Hi There, New to this forum - am a current wildlife carer (rehab mainly possums, gliders, reptiles and birds) and volunteer at my local zoo which is quite a big zoo, but struggling with finding employment in this field of work as it seems age and looks play a big part in obtaining a job rather than skills and a hardworking attitude. Have come on here to try and gain some insight or tips on what to do to get into this field of work. My ultimate dream is to have my own wildlife reserve with a big focus on education for kids and courses and teaching the public about conservation and saving our animals as well as having a big place for non releasable animals to live the rest of their lives in a comfortable state. Would love to learn from those who have been in the field for a while on what works, what doesn't and what else I can do to try and get a job without having plastic surgery.... haha. Look forward to chatting to you all Cheers
