Hey everyone! I'm excited to learn from all of you on this forum, and to hopefully contribute some myself, since I'm really interested in the topic of animals and zoos. For some background, I live in New South Wales, Australia. If you're wondering about the username, it actually comes from a childhood nickname (one that I didn't like very much back then but quite like now). So far I've been to several zoos in NSW and Queensland, and the Melbourne Zoo in Vic, as well as a couple in Malaysia and Romania, but certainly not enough to be counted as a lot. Looking forward to exploring the site. Thanks!
Australia Zoo, Hartley's Crocodile Adventures, Australian Butterfly Sanctuary (if that counts), Birdworld Kuranda, Australian Venom Zoo, and Seaworld. I might have forgotten some (maybe a small koala park?) but these are the ones I most remember. They're pretty much just centered around holidays to the South-East and Cairns.
Welcome @Capra! Did you ever go to Cairns Wildlife Safari before it closed? What zoos in Malaysia did you visit?
Unfortunately, I never saw the Cairns Wildlife Safari. In Malaysia I went to the Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur (KL Bird Park), the Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre, and the KL Tower Mini Zoo, which was really fun despite it being comprised of mostly domestics. In Romania were the small zoos I visited as a little kid, which I can't really remember, and recently some open farms or accommodation that displayed animals and the Piatra Neamt Zoo (Parc Zoologic Cozla).
