Hello everyone. I have been wondering about a possible mixed-species Himalayan exhibit for a while now, and about the possible species that could be in it. I do not know of any mixed-species Himalayan exhibits, and if someone could tell be about one (if one exists) I would be glad to hear about it! However, if there are no Himalayan MS exhibits, is this type of exhibit possible? If so, what species could be in it? I have possible animals listed below. NOTE: This is not like exhibits with Himalayan Black Bears and langurs. I am talking about exhibits that look like part of the mountains: rocky exhibits, not grassy, forested ones.

    Possible Species?:

    Siberian Ibex (Capra sibirica)
    Takin (Budorcas taxicolor)
    Markhor (Capra falconeri)
    Bharal/Himalayan Blue Sheep (Pseudois nayaur)
    Himalayan Tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus)
    Wild Yak (Bos grunniens)

What about one of the listed ungulate species with a pheasant species, possibly adding Bar-headed Geese, Ruddy Shelduck and Demoiselles Cranes?

I think that this is possible. Ungulates usually go well in mixed exhibits.

Good! I thought about ground bird species, but eventually decided to just list ungulates instead. All three species could work, and I thought that this was possible, and it just hadn't been done yet.

Some smaller mammal-species would also be an option for example asian marmot-species, ( ground ) squirrels, pikas or maybe even a smaller fox-species.

Dortmund has also a mixed exhibit with Thar and (domestic) Yak, and Wuppertal has plans for Takin + Lesser Panda

Ah, thank you guys for educating me about those! Takin and Red Panda is an interesting mix. What small mammals would be good for this exhibit? Maybe Himalayan Marmot, or Tibetan Sand Fox? Possibly Himalayan Pikas?
