I visited marwell last week and thought the hippo house ( d
Semi aquatic house) could do with a bit of a update.the pools were small and dirty, the basking area was stained concrete floor with hay all over the pace. The grazing area outside was just a large field with no outdoor pool or shade.
The house and grazing area could do with an update. Your thoughts?

It's not perfect , but it's by no means the worst pygmy hippo accomodation in the country. How many others have you seen?

    I have seen
    Bristol, whipsnade, london, edingbrough
i would say edingbrough is the worst but marwell could do with a update. The best is proberly bristol or london?

You haven't seen the worst then, but i wouldn't say London or Bristol were any better than the others, i would personally rate Whipsnade the best.

Whipsnade for the common hippos. both species are at whipsnade and both have indoor/ outdoor pools. the indoor pgymy hippo pool in tiny! In your opinion where is the worst pygmy hippo enclosure.

I dont think it's the only indoor pool they have for pygmy hippos and it isn't what i'd call tiny - the others aren't much, if any better!. Outside Whipsnade has by far the best facilities.
The worst i"ve seen by far much as it hurts me to say it is Colchester - in fact it's probably the worst exhibit in a great zoo! I have not been to S Lakes though so can't comment on theirs.

Sorry, you didn't list Colchester, so i assumed you hadn't seen it! Apart from the pool, the indoors would be ok, if the outdoors wasn't so bad.
