How many hooded cranes does Parc paradisio have as on ISIS it is listed as having only 0.1? Has the male died?
The male has, unfortunately, been killed by a fox. There's other (amazing) news from Parc Paradisio, but that's Forumbully's territory... I'll tell if he doesn't turn up soon though

Guess Marc just couldn't wait huh The eggs were quite a few days overdue the (what is mentioned in the books as being) incubation time and candling did not show a conclusive evidence of an embryo. However, Paradisio decided to keep them in the incubator for just a few more days to see what happened and fortunately they did, because one of them did hatch. Chick will be hand raised.
yeah, well I just opened a separate thread for it either way. I'll be in the park sunday at the latest and should be able to get pics of the chick. in the meantime, it's worth keeping an eye on the official website Parc Paradisio - Laissez-vous toucher par la nature! I've been told they're going to try to put a cam online.
if we're talking about the shoebill (what most of this topic is abou): yes, they're together for several months now. if we're talking about the hooded cranes (what is the title of this topic): not that I know of.
