Hello everyone! I am reapplying to vet school this next year after polishing up my application this year. My long term interests would be working for programs in Africa to help endanger animals. Short term goals after vet school would be to get established at a small animal practice and get exotic experience on the side. I'm debating specializing in zoo medicine, but I can always decide that later. I currently work as a veterinary technician and have worked in the vet field for the past 7 years. I have also volunteered as a keeper assistant in at the Dallas Zoo in Texas in the giraffe barn; which is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. My favorite animal is the Okapi and I have a love for Giraffes and Pangolins as well.
