Hi all, I thought this would be a little fun to try out. Its a quiz, but a quiz about each different phylum of the animal world, one question fort each. I tried to make this quiz as hard as it could be, without any impossible answers. The questions are labeled below, and please tell me why you chose the answers you did. And please; no cheating!

Question 1: True or false: Annelids have closed circulatory systems

Question 2: Did Trilobites swim? Or burrow under the sand?

Question 3: What is the most common type of Zooid?

Question 4: What is the scientific name of the very first fish that scientists know of?

Question 5: How many types of Cnidae are there?

Question 6: How many arms do Labidiaster annulatus have?

Question 7: True or false: Cowrie shells were once used as currency

Question 8: What is the origin of the term, "Nematode".

Question 9: Which of the following do flatworms have: A brain, A specialized digestive system, and a specialized excretory system.

Question 10: Do rotifers exhibit eutely?

Question 11: What family of sponges typically has most of the carnivorous species?

Hope you enjoy! I didn't try to make it too difficult, and some of our older members will complete this quiz a lot better than some younger members.

Congrats! Some of the answers were I dont know, so were not going to count those in your score, that alright?
Number 1. Sorry! Annelids do have a closed circulatory system, and an excretory system, and a complete digestive system.
    Number 2. Correct!

    Number 4: Correct!

Number 6: They can, so half credit, but most of the time its over 50!

    Number 7: Correct!

Number 9: Sort of. They actually have NONE of the above, it was a trick question.

    Total score: 4.5/6
    :)

Ok, so I’ll only go for the others
    (1. Would have been right)
    (2. Would have been right)
    3. Gastrozooids - the feeding polyps
    (4. Couldn’t recall)
    5. Think it’s about 6.
    (6. Would have gone for 25-33)
    (7. Would have been right)
    8. Thread worm (from the shape)
    (9. Ready to argue this; tapeworms don’t have any, but flukes have digestive and excretory systems)
    10. False (but I can’t recall what Eutely is; maybe some kind of budding?)
    11. Nope, can’t recall this one.

    8. Right
    9. Apparently my information was wrong, (got it from a book) so I guess this one would be counted right as well.
    10. Right
So out of the ones that you answered, you did really good! My respects! You know a lot more about animals than I do, so I would expect you to get a good score.
    Score total, 9/10!
