I've been lurking here for about a month; or, has it been two? I don't remember. Either way, I've enjoyed reading the posts of this board's more august members and thought I would attempt to add my $2.13 to the conversation.

Briefly, I was born across the street from the San Diego Zoo at the old Balboa Naval Hospital; was a card carrying member of that Zoological Society for most of my life; and can't count how many times I've been to the zoo or Wild Animal Park. Though, I distinctly remember being there the day the pandas made their North American debut. I can also remember that giant sea lion pool that used to occupy the space where that pan-Asian cafe now sits.

Since then I've been to the: Audubon Zoo, National Zoo, Lincoln Park Zoo, St. Louis Zoo, Oakland Zoo, San Francisco Zoo, Imperial Zoo in Vienna, Central Park Zoo, Los Angeles Zoo.

While I am unaffiliated with any zoo in a professional capacity, I've recently developed an interest in enclosure/exhibit design that I would like to explore.

    'nuff said.

    Glad to make your acquaintances!

Welcome Buldeo. Good to have another Californian zoogoer in the mix.
