    They certainly had Thylacine.....

    That they did. Three in total but I don't think they had any when they opened. Was just saying since they opened in 1899 I don't think they would have held any extinct species in the 1800's.

    A tad nitpicky of a point to make I guess, though.

    Indeed there were no thylacines at Bronx Zoo when it opened; actually, I think that Bronx Zoo had four thylacines in total between 1902 and 1919 (although one only lived a week).

    Now that you mention it yes they did have four.
