    While I can cut and paste links, I admit to not knowing how to attach photos from the gallery (or, indeed, from elsewhere) to thread posts, for example on the 'Signage in zoos on individual animals' thread. Can somebody please explain the process?

    I keep trying to do this but the "IMG" in the link keeps messing up the post.

    When you are open on a photo, there is a box on the right titled "Share this media". The third link down, if cut-and-pasted in your thread will show the full photo.

    As described by @Chlidonias - you're looking for the following section of the media page:

    Copy and paste one of the two BB Code strings into your post.

    The first one "Share BB Code:", will create something like this - a full image embedded in the post (but no links to the original):

    [​IMG]

    The second one "Share BB (With Thumbnail) Code:", will create something like this - a thumbnail version of the image embedded in the post with a link to the original media entry:
