In 2014 the potentially invasive Asian toad ( Duttaphrynus melanostictus ) was found around the city of Toamasina in Madagascar. It was probably accidentally introduced by ship. This species has high invasian capacities and to avoid a possible second cane toad story, the species should be eradicated as soon as possible before it spreads, as it won't be possible anymore when the populations really starts growing.
