Is there a new silverback gorilla at london zoo ?

    Ive heard rumours that there is a new silverback at london zoo but theres nothing on the website if anyone knows anything about this can you write on here please ? :) many thanks

    If there is then they should be going for some kind of record as Yeboah the male they got last year only died 10 days ago!

    :O i didnt know i didnt even know they had a male what a shame how long did they have him for and was there any chance of breeding thanks

    He came at the end of November from one of the batchelour groups in France. It's already been talked about in another thread. (see London Zoo sad news)

    Mjkuu is suspected to be pregnant bwt

    Tbh it would be a lot better if she wasn't pregnant as they won't be able to put her in with a new male until the baby is much older.

    I know unless they put a laid back blackback in or a 7/8 year old male in but it would be abit of a difficult introduction
