They had a pure Rothschild's for a long time that was destined to go to Bioparco di Roma just before he died, alas the renovation of the zoo was too late for him. Are the giraffes returning to Zoo di Napoli (as was planned initially)?

What are the plans for the Pachyderm area?

Any news on whether they can take over the Amusement Park next door for extension?

The only thing that makes the project clear is the zoo map on the official website, because it hasn't been revealed yet

    Edenlandia maybe will be reopened

It seems that in Zoo di Napoli (Naples zoo), two brown bears, male and female, have arrived from Zurich Switzerland; they are apparently born in 2013, according to fb article on Italian language:

    (‪#‎Amici‬,

    Piko?

But not from Zurich Zoo, as they don't have Brown Bears...

It is the Wildpark Zuerich to the south of the city. I have never been, but from what I heard it is a really really nice facility. You can do quite a good bit of walking in the valley and thru their woodlands.

It is indeed a very nice facility, with only top-notch enclosures and when I visited in February they indeed had some younger bears, so those will be the ones now in Italy ;)
