    hi, I'm italian, i live near Turin and I would doing a list of the italian zoo and the aquarium:

    ZOO
    Valle d'Aosta - Aosta Valley
    Parc Animalier d'Introd (alpine animals zoo)

    Piemonte - Piedmont (the region with the highest number of zoo)
    Parco della Villa Pallavicino (Verbania, little zoo, the only in italy to have the american beaver)
    Safari Park (Novara, a big safari, very nice)
    Parco Faunistico La Torbiera (Novara, a zoo with endangered species animals)
    Zoom Torino (Torino, the most modern italian zoo, not very big, the architect is the same of the valencia's bioparc)
    Oasi degli Animali (Torino, a little zoo)
    Parco Safari delle Langhe (Cuneo, not very beautiful, but there are animals that you can't find in other part of italy, like bahrals)
    Centro Cicogne e Anatidi (Cuneo, a storks and ducks zoo)

    Lombardia - Lombardy
    Parco Faunistico Le Cornelle (Bergamo, it's a big zoo, with the biggest europan group of giraffes, but there only enclosour and an aviary)
    Oasi di Sant'Alessio (Pavia, a little zoo, but very cute, with european and amazzonian fauna, european beaver, pavonine quetzal, sloth...)
    Parco Ittico Paradiso (Lodi, fish zoo)

    Veneto
    Parco Natura Viva (Verona, the best italian zoo, very big i visited it in 6.30 hours)
    Parco Faunistico Valcorba (Vicenza, a very cute zoo)
    Parco Faunistico Cappeler (Verona, very cute zoo, with animals that you can find in other italian zoo)
    Parco Faunistico al Bosco (Verona, little european fauna zoo)
    Butterfly Arc (Padova, butterflys zoo)

    Friuli-Venezia Giulia
    Parco Zoo Punta Verde (Udine, one of the best italian zoo, a lot of little monkey and feline)
    Parco Tropicale del Castello di Miramare (a very little tropical zoo)
    Parco dei Pappagalli a Latisana (Udine, parrots zoo)

    Emilia-Romagna
    Le Dune del Delta - Safari Adventure (Ravenna, opened in 2012, it's a safari, with only 40 species of animals, but is the most expensive)
    Casa delle Farfalle (Ravenna, butteflys zoo)

    Toscana - Tuscany
    Giardino Zoologico di Pistoia (Pistoia, it isn't very big, but is cute... many the structures are old)
    Parco Faunistico Gallorose (it's a little zoo, but the only in italy to have dingos, possum)
    Parco Zoo della Fauna Europea (Arezzo, a little european fauna zoo)
    Greenlandia Zoo (Pisa, very little, but i don't find any information of it)
    Parco Cavriglia (Arezzo, very little, but i don't find any information of it)
    Carapax (Massa-Carrara, turtles zoo)

    Umbria
    Città della Domenica (Perugia, very little zoo)
    Parco del Sole (Perugia, very little zoo)

    Marche
    Parco Zoo Falconara (Ancona, one of the better italian zoo)

    Lazio
    Bioparco di Roma (Rome, the first italian zoo, one of the better, but a lot of old structures)
    Parco Zoo di Genzano (Rome, a little zoo)

    Abruzzo (1 little park and one zoo/circus)
    Bioparco Faunistico d'Abruzzo (L'Aquila, a little zoo)
    Parco Zoo La Rupe (Pescara)
    Safari Park d'Abruzzo (Teramo, the liger park, it's a park with the animals that you can find in the circus)

    Campania
    Zoo di Napoli (one of the worst italian zoo, but one of the most famous, because 40 years ago was one of the best in the world)

    Puglia - Apulia
    Zoo Safari Fasanolandia (Brindisi, the biggest italian zoo, the only with the gorillas)

    Basilicata
    Parco Zoo Giada (Potenza, i never find any information of it)

    Sicilia - Sicily (Palermo, a little zoo, but is one of the 4-5 zoo in italy that have the chimpanzee)

    Sardegna - Sardinia
    Parco degli Angeli (very little, 28 species)

    no zoos in Liguria, Trentino-Alto Adige/Sud Tirol, Molise and Calabria

    AQUARIUM

    Liguria
    Acquario di Genova (the italian biggest aquarium, the 2nd in europe and the 9th in the world, very beautiful)

    Lombardia - Lombardy
    Aquario Civico di Milano (Milano, a little but cute aquarium)

    Veneto
    Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium (Verona, a SEA LIFE series aquarium)
    Lido di Jesolo SEA LIFE Aquarium (Venezia, a SEA LIFE series aquarium)

    Friuli-Venezia Giulia
    Aquario Permanente delle specie d'acqua dolce (little fresh water aquarium)
    Civico Acquario Marino (Trieste, little aquarium)

    Emilia-Romagna
    Rimini Dolphinarium (Rimini, dolphin show, with a little aquarium)
    Aquario Le Navi (Rimini, a little but very cute aquarium)
    Oltremare (Rimini, a thematic park, with dolphins and the world biggest exposition of seahorse)

    Toscana - Tuscany
    Aquario di Livorno (Livorno, one of the best in italy)
    Aquario dell'Elba (Livorno, the biggest italian exposition of mediterranean fish)

    Lazio
    Roma SEA LIFE Aquarium (Roma, it will open in this years, 2013)

    Campania
    Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn (Napoli, one of the best italian aquarium)

    Calabria
    Aquario di Soverato (opened in 2011, a very little aquarium, in the city called the ionian pearl)

    Sardegna - Sardinia
    Alghero Aquarium (Sassari, one of the worst italian aquarium)
    Acquario Cala Gonone (Nuoro, little aquarium)

    no aquarium in Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Umbria, Marche, Abruzzo, Apulia, Basilicata and Sicily

    By the way......do you have any info (or photos) regarding the old Verona City Zoo (see photos I just posted)??

    Zoom Torino 2011 and 2012 (not on pc, but on a my friend's forum)
    Acquario di Genova

    ok, i'm going to zoom when the serengeti open similar at bioparc valencia (there're the photo of the costruction), but i can give you the link of the forum with the 2012 photos
    for the aquarium: i must recuperate the photos because there aren't on my pc
