    Hi

My local zoo is dudley zoological gardens and I absolutely loved their male Itar and was gutted when i found out he would be moving to avintes in Portugal. I was going to book a holiday to be able to go and visit him but I have heard a rumour that he passed away on the journey :( Can anyone shed any light on this for me pls?

    Thanks in advance

Sue, I'm pretty sure that there was a recent picture of him on Dudley's facebook page.
I certainly hope he's ok, and like you was a little surprised that he taken away with little info given. They do have a new boy now though.

Thanks all for the help I am so relieved now to know he is well!! They moved him in hope that the new male would breed with kyra and asha as itar never produced cubs. Mwamba is from Paignton zoo he has only been at Dudley for just over a week.
