Acclaimed felid scientist Valmik Tharpar's comments should give everyone pointers to what really transpired. First, and pen-ultimate the Minister in question is responsible. It is too easy to pass his responsibility off as something for the Forest Department. Second, it all stinks to much of political pressure without any scientific background knowledge or due diligence in rehabilitation and release.
