There is a new overlook being constructed for the Asian lions. The Orangutan and Javan Langur exhibit has finished construction and will open once the animals have moved in.

The zoo have received their first 2:0 Bornean Orang-utan named 'Ito' (born 2006 at Allwetterzoo Münster) and 'Kesatu' (born 2011 at Apenhuel) from Hai Park Zoo in Kiryat Motzkin. They will receive 0:2 Bornean Orang-utan females to pair with both males.

There is minor construction in the armadillo and Amazon mixed species exhibits in the small animal house. Looks to be feeding areas.

There is a second lioness in the lion habitat. Don't know if it's new but I have only ever seen two.

The zoo has reopened with certain guidelines, including:
    • Tickets must be reserved online in advance for a specific entry time. Members must also reserve tickets but will not be charged.
    • All visitors will have their temperature taken before entrance to the zoo. Those with a temperature over 38 C will not be allowed to enter. All visitors must wear masks.
    • Visitors will be allowed on a one-way path around the zoo. Some areas, such as the Small Animal Building and the Children's Zoo are closed.
    • Visitors are requested to keep to the social distancing guidelines
In addition, those with memberships during the closing period will receive an extension equal to the amount of time they were not allowed to enter the zoo.

For more information and to reserve tickets, visit the website at https://www.jerusalemzoo.org/ or the facebook page at Security Check Required.

The cheetah exhibit has been modified. The trench has been filled in and replaced with a glass barrier.
