They have a SeaLife Aquarium and there is a penguin aquarium at the zoo.

Hey everyone! So I went to the Kansas City Zoo while I was in Kansas few days ago. I went by myself and it was a beautiful 60 degree weather out considering it is January. I saw a exhibit that had blue monkey and African crested porcupine in the same enclosure and notice the blue monkey was picking at the porcupine. The porcupine raised it's quills and the monkey was taunting the animal. In fact somehow that monkey manage to pull a single quill off the porcupine which idk how it did that without getting jabbed?? So I believe this mixed exhibit won't last long and was wondering if anyone here agrees with my prediction. I also think it is a very unusual mixed exhibit .like seriously this monkey wasn't leaving the porcupine alone when I was watching them [IMG]

It's worked for a good number of years, I don't see it becoming an actual problem.

Incidently, I was there myself on Monday. Wasn't the weather just amazing?

HOLY COW YOU WERE THERE TOO ON MONDAY SAME AS I THAT IS TRIPPY. This is kind of a joke but were you the women who was teaching those kids that monkeys have tails and apes don't. lmao. because I feel a fellow zoo chat member would do that xD. It probally wasn't you but I was so happy to finally find someone that actually knew that about monkeys and apes so I said "FINALLY" out loud lmao. Yes it was a lovely day yesterday I went to the zoo myself it was my last full day in Kansas before heading back to NJ.

That certainly wasn't me. But to put things back on track, I'm pretty sure they have ample room off exhibit that they can pull species from the mixed species exhibits when they just need a break. There have been times I've been there and certain species would be off exhibit on day, but back on the next.
