they have (or had) two. I found this zoo enthusiast's blog from 2015 where he labels them in the plural, and also has a photo of their nest platform.

As a fan of Kobe animal Kingdom, I am glad to share any information I know about it. To start off with the place is constantly changing so any blog entry can quickly get old. For example the only owls that remain now are Veraux's eagle owl, scops owl, brown wood owl and Siberian eagle owl.

The tapirs and the animals of the African wetland exhibit (red river hogs, marabou storks, african pied crow, sacred ibis) has been or will be transferred to the parks sister location Nasu animal kingdom which is making a wetland exhibit. While I don't know what the tapirs will be replaced with.

The African wetland exhibit will be replaced with exhibits which are concerning regarding welfare and safety :the rocky valley focusing on North American animals. While the beaver creek section (pecary, skunk and beaver) is complete from last year, there are preparing exhibits for prarie dogs, american red/pine squirrel, bald eagle, cougar, timber wolf, and black bear. I believe that the park should have chosen to exhibit smaller animals such as raccoons (which might need legal inspection) or Canada porcupine (which is rare in Japan if I know correctly). The exhibit is expected to open at 17 March. I also doubt that the park will have any new sections due to limited land, but I would like to see an expansion.

This is all I have for now. I hope you appreciate the information.

I finally found the layout of the new exhibits. A new path going to the outside section. I hope that is enough space for the bear and the cougar. Pic from the Chinese fan(?) page of Kobe animal kingdom. 神戶動物王國 Kobe Animal Kingdom

Based on what I found on twitter, the timber wolves coming to Kobe are from the Higashiyama zoo. Their names are Hikaru, Genki, and Maikeru (Micheal). Hilaru has the "normal" colors and is from the same litter with Genki, Which is black with a grey muzzle and grey legs. Micheal is a completely black wolf which is one year older than the other two.

more details about the bear enclosure 神戸どうぶつ王国

Better then what I expected. The only problem is the lack of a cover and the electric wires surrounding the vegetation decreasing the space the bears have.

What do you guys think about this enclosure?
