Kulans in US Zoos.

    Are there any Kulans left in US Zoos? Wilson's Wild Animal Park just closed down and Boulder Ridge no longer has them either. In other bad news for Boulder Ridge, they no longer have Black wildebeest.

    Probably in the private sector. I don't think Lion Country keeps them anymore either.

    Another ultra rare species accredited zoos and associations seem keen to do away with sadly and IMHO unjustly so.

    There was never a large enough population in the US to sustain a population. The AZA has chosen to focus on the more endangered Onager, though that program is struggling as well with very few holders and breeding stock.
