Unfortunately it will not, but you can have a view inside through a window.

An enclosure for hyrax is also planed.

Male Baringo giraffe born to MAX and ANDREA yesterday morning.

The Eastern black rhinozeros will be co-housed with cheetahs and Patas monkey at their new enclosures.

A further Przewalski's horse was born. Unfortunately the last year born gorilla male YENGO died today from unknown reason, the two Dalmatian pelican chicks were killed by a racoon or a mink.

Sounds like an interesting combo. Will the cheetah and Patas monkeys actually be together? Housing savannah monkeys with hoofstock is fairly rare, and is something that more zoos, especially urban ones with limited space, should consider.

Cinnamon ground-dove, Asian blue quails, Black-faced ibis and Peking robins hatched.

Eastern black rhinoceros bull N'DUGU is going to be shipped to Hannover Zoo for one year in september to breed with the older females SABA and SANI there.

The entire group a Hamadryas baboons will travel to Mysore Zoo/India in august in exchange to the four Indian sloth bears, imported to Leipzig Zoo last year.

Amur leopard female VATNE is going to be shipped to Rotterdam Zoo soon.

I presume the answer is no, since there is no mention of it anywhere, but I'll try to ask again to be on the safe side, as I'm going to Saxony in a week, and it is after all July now:

Is there any chance of the new flamingo aviary being opened within the next two weeks?

Thought so. Honestly, when has a big zoo exhibit ever opened the month it was scheduled to open?

Enough complaining, I still look forward to visiting Leipzig Zoo. If the flamingo exhibit turns out to be absolutely magnificent, I can always return a later year.

I don't know if it has been mentioned in here (I cannot see anything about it in this thread), but Leipzig is apparently building a spider monkey exhibit at the site of the old Chilean flamingo exhibit, probably as part of the South American zone.
