Excellent news from Colchester, with another birth among the L'Hoest's Guenons:

Colchester Zoo News: L'Hoest Baby born!

(haven't seen this reported - sorry if it's old news - news story has no date but the video was posted 03/02/10 and describes the baby as 'just over 6 weeks old')

It is great news, and I dont think it has been mentioned on here yet :D
There is also information on the colchester website about the small mammal block redevelopment, which is due to include a new sloth enclosure (possibly because they are indoors a lot of the time and viewing is quite difficult) and a new penguin feeding platform

Six weeks??? This baby looks a lot older than that- it seems to be semi-independant too. I knew they had another birth not very long ago, but I think the baby on this video must be considerably older.
