Wellington's prides (three females born 2001 and two males born 2004) are unrelated but the three females are post reproductive now, as are Auckland's three females.

Orana Wildlife Park have bred in the past. Their current pride descend from Kiara and Pricilla (both born 1998), who bred with male Toby (also born 1998), they produced:

Priscilla: Ra and Thandi (2002) and Leah and Meeka (2004)
Kiara : Kahn, Sakura and Mishka (2002)

Kiara, Mishka and Meeka all bred with Malik to produce cubs in 2009 (Kiara and Mishka) and 2011 (Meeka). These were the last cubs born at Orana Wildlife Park.

There breeding options are limited as Priscilla's pride is now non reproductive (post reproductive females and castrated males) and Kiara's pride contains only two reproductive females (Mishka's daughters born 2009). If they want to continue with theis pride, they will have to import a new male/males.

Actually,Zulu and Malik are related.Malik is Amira's (Zulu's mother) brother even though Malik is younger it was mum Kura's third litter.Djane,Djembe and Zhara are sisters born to dad Tombo and mum Sheeka (Sheeka and Tombo's only litter).Amira's father was Tonyi and Tombo and Tonyi are brothers. So Wellingtons pride are all related and wouldn't have breed.

Sorry, I meant that the male pride was not related to the female pride (and indeed Malik isn't) but yes of course, you're right about Zulu as his mother is a half sibling to Wellington's three females.
