I heard that there are around over 140 species of animals (mostly invertebrates) in the B.U.G.S exhibit can anyone give me a whole list of them the only I know that they have is moon jellyfish, leafcutter ant, naked mole rat, brown rat and German cockroach
okay this is what I know so far (not sure if it's correct or not) MAMMALS brown rat naked mole rat REPTILES AND AMPHIBIANS golden mantella INSECTS blue bottle fly (maggot) cave cricket desert locust domino beetle Eastern lubber grasshopper flamboyant flower beetle Frigate Island giant tenebrionid beetle garden fruit chafer giant peppered roach honeybee jewel wasp leafcutter ant leaf insect OTHER INVERTEBRATES black widow spider common spider crab edible golden silk spider giant African land snail medicinal leech Mexican red-knee tarantula moon jellyfish salmon pink tarantula Seychelles giant millipede snakelocks anemone upsidedown jellyfish I don't know about the rest
You seem to have answered your own question! I can't give you a comprehensive list of all species but the notable absences from your list are: two golden headed lion tamarins; a couple of Bali starlings; axolotls; quite a few more frogs of various kinds and a snake (sorry! bit vague); loads of fish including clown fish; all sorts of stick insects; partula snails (very important); lots more cockroaches including Madagascan hissing... and so on. Perhaps you'd better go and visit? I would suggest looking at the animal inventory which is on the ZSL website but you can't tell from that what's kept where in the zoo.
They do have giant anteaters, not actually in BUGS but just opposite. I'm not sure why you want to know what there is in BUGS specifically, compared to the rest of the zoo? You can download the entire animal list here: Animal inventory | Zoological Society of London (ZSL), but you can't tell from that what is where in the zoo. For that you will (as I said) need to visit and see for yourself.
I wish to but it's not my holiday yet in my country I'm also thinking of making the same replica of BUGS in the future (right here in Oman) at least 90 or 100 species of animals that I can afford them That's why I want to know some of the specimens found in the BUGS exhibit
Right! Okay... well, you need someone a lot more knowledgeable than me, then. Good luck with your project!
