Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens List of species on exhibit 12/7/2018

    This list will be a @geomorph style species list. This is an attempt to list every species on exhibit at the Higashiyama Zoo in Nagoya during my visit on 12-7-2018. I will list it from the way that I toured the zoo, not by animal type.

    Main Park:

    Exhibits next to the Education center ( 3 exhibit )
    Next to the Education center is the Indian rhino exhibits, which holds 3 Indian rhino.

    This zone have no name but is near the Kodaiike Pond so that's it.

    Bear house and surrounding area(10 exhibit):
    This area is where the bears are, plus some exhibit near there.

    Exhibit with slope and a pool in the middle:

    Exhibit also build with slope, but with more vegetation and larger space:

    Japanese black bear

    Exhibit like the previous one, but with an indoor area:
    Spectacled bear

    Exhibit like the previous one, but with even more vegetation:

    Netted exhibit with green water and a rocky island in the middle:

    Koala house(1 to 3 exhibit )
    The koala are actually divided into three exhibit but the door can be open to form into one exhibit.

    3 Exhibit viewable outside of the bird hall with height:

    Medium walk-through exhibit:
    Daurian redstart
    Brown-eared bulbul
    Japanese tit
    (plus other passerine that I didn’t seen)
    (I am lazy to take photo of all of them)

    2 Exhibit inside the walk-through with branches and some box:
    Japanese squirrel

    Exhibit inside the walk-through, like the previous one but with a bigger box:
    Ural owl
