Again, having just watched Thursday's episode regarding the tigers, when was the last time Longleat had a breeding pair of tigers that produced offspring?

Well BBC's Animal Park has gone really well but it will be back in the summer time. It's nice to see New Arrivals which is the female binturong called Arabella who came from France, The male Secretary bird who came from The Netherlands and 2 European Wolves from another colllection. Dave the Canadian Timber Wolf tries to escape but he was put back to his enclosure. Anne the Asian Elephant is doing really well

Will the Timber wolves be kept within Britain or moved abroad ? They would be a great addition to a collection that doesn`t house any canine species

    From facebook:

Try not too squeeee! We've had not one, not two but THREE adorable scimitar-horned oryx born at the park this Easter. The species is extremely rare (until recently they were actually classified as extinct in the wild) making their arrival extra special! They're already out and about exploring so keep your eyes peeled if you're headed to the Safari.

After finally catching up with the animal park easter specials. I just wanted to add I think its totally out of order for the BBC and the presenters to claim anne was abused in the circus for years .What an awful accusation to make . Also when they said she has started to interact with people now . What do they mean by this . As a former circus elephant she had been interacting a, use to people for years previously .

Am I reading this right ?? Footage was released of her groom throwing a pitchfork
(I think it was) and the state she was in upon arrival at Longleat to where she is now is a drastic improvement, so I think Longleat & presenters have the right to claim this. We all heard about this on the news. I don't believe this is an accusation more like stating the facts.
Also they probably mean she interacts of her own accord rather than be trained into doing it however I could be wrong!!

Funny nobody has ever found the guy in the video footage, almost makes you think he was an anti plant in the circus. Plus you never see his face makes you wonder if he knew the camera was there! !!

You know it's really nice that all the animals at Longleat are doing really well. The new arrivals like the seahorses, Kevin the Secretary Bird, Arabella the female binturong have settled in well into their new home

EEP recommendation most likely - Valencia are one of the few places to have a proven breeding male right now so possibly a space issue down there
