There was a moose in an enclosure next to the lemur walkthrough yesterday / viewed from road in african section so guessing this would be the one from Whipsnade?

If anyone who is going to Longleat today it's very snowy and guess you need to look on Facebook for that

    Quick visit from today, notes:
    • Many species inside, presumably due to the weather
    • Moose wasn't out, but the enclosure seems nice enough. Adds something big to that part of the park, even if it's not signed yet
    • FANTASTIC to see the Desertas island wolf spiders (Hogna ingens) bred by Bristol given such a prominent place in the central area, hope they do well with them
    • Aardvarks look pretty content in their enclose, sleeping soundly is always a good thing!

It shares a fence with the top part of the lemur walkthrough, then runs down the hill toward part of the Africa drive through, so you get two views of it.

Not sure how long they've been there but I saw two black wildebeest in the Africa Safari as well, haven't seen them being mentioned.

The wildebeest were in the monkey drivethrough for ages, but have recently been moved into the Africa Safari. I think there are still some blackbuck in the monkey drivethrough.

Black Wildebeest- or Blue? If Black, anyone know where they came from?

Thanks for the info, I've never been through there, shame to have missed them previously.

@Pertinax looking around the internet I can't see anything saying they have black, I must be mistaken. I thought I saw a white tail, but I didn't take a photograph so I've got no way of checking. We didn't go through the Safari this time, queues were insane, which is doubly irritating.
Sorry everyone, best to ignore this!

The only Black Wildebeest in UK are at Newquay and the Lakeland Wildlife Park(forget name) hence my query.
