After sending their male tigers away to Palm Beach Zoo, the zoo acquired a new female, Buzi. I believe she is from Busch Gardens Tampa.
A male Malayan Tapir was born in early March.

A chimpanzee baby was born at the Maryland Zoo. However the mom Carole couldn't adapt to motherhood, so the baby has been sent to Tampa to be paired with experienced surrogate mother Abby.

The male Siamang Cyrus died, and his mate, Haddie, went to another zoo. Their daughter Malu stayed at the zoo, and a new male was brought in for breeding.
A female Queensland Koala named Ceduna has also arrived at the zoo to be paired up with the zoo's resident male, Heathcliff.
The zoo's CEO, Craig Pugh, is also leaving Lowry Park.

I forgot to mention that Wallaroo Station reopened last month. A list of the new features can be seen in the attached article. The only new stuff regarding animals is the new female Koala, as well as a Brushlands Birds walk-through exhibit with birds and Fiji Banded Iguanas.

That's fantastic news, I'm always happy to hear about a Chimp being raised by a Chimp rather than by a human, its always best for them to be raised by their own species.
