On Isis it says that Singapore has had a malayan Tapir birth within the last 6 months. Tapirs are my favourite animals along with hornbills, zooish do you have any information on the tapirs at Singapore zoo? I beleive you have a lot of them.

We have 8 Malayan Tapirs in total (3.5.0). The last birth was actually more than 6 months ago (ISIS not updated) in October 2006. It was a male calf named Api (meaning "fire" in Malay), born to dam Mayang (meaning "flower" in Malay) and sire Jack (affectionately known as One-eyed Jack because he's blind in one eye). I don't know the names of the rest. We're expecting another calf sometime this month.
