While the species has been known to kill adult humans, this is probably the first definitive record (if not most well documented) of a Reticulated Python ingesting a grown man. The python was 7 metres long and killed a 25 year old Indonesian villager. The python was caught and sliced open to reveal the man's body. This may sound immature, but that is pretty cool (the snake eating the full-grown human, not the man and snake both dying) .
Very sad. But a growing worldwide demand for palm oil has caused massive deforestation in Indonesia and other African countries, pushing local wildlife to the edge.
