They should be by now. They arrived on 7th July but staff have been conditioning them to feed indoors, so as to make life easier if they need to be caught up.

I have not seen this species, but I vaguely remember the red-bellied pademelons from the 1970s.

    Very nice!

    Where are they?

(In preparation for popping in to see them, but not trawling the entire zoo to find them :) )

Something tells me that they might be housed where the zoo last had Marsupials...

I saw both of these individuals several weeks ago when they were still at Plzen, as it happens :) they are a very nice species indeed.

You mean the old paddock where the Western Grey Kangaroos used to be kept years ago, or the round enclosure what used to last house the male Anteater?

The round enclosure has the Agouti in, so I would expect them to be in the old Kangaroo enclosure.

Are the Pudu still sharing with the Agoutis then?

Is this the same species that was held at the RSCC just before it closed?

Zootielriste has them down as a former holdering there. Were they in with the Aardwolf then?

Thanks :) by the time I visited RSCC on the last opening weekend the aardwolves had already left, so can't say if they were in together. The pademelon i saw was in the central enclosure in the tropical house at the entrance

I'm sure the Aardwolf were next to the footbridge opposite the Binturong and they had wallabies in with them, or squeezed next to them.

The pademelons are living in the old pudu and anteater paddock/formerly grey kangaroos/formerly red kangaroos/fprmerly Bagot goats - can't remember what was there before the mid 1970s.

UK's only miniature kangaroo? Parma wallaby is smaller and it is in the UK, and a kangaroo.

Have they done anything with the former Cassowary paddock opposite where the Kangaroos used to be at?

I saw the dusky pademelon several times at the RSCC; it was always in the enclosure you mention inside Tropical House (this enclosure had previously held one of the young cassowaries).

Indeed the aardwolf at the RSCC were housed by the footbridge and opposite the binturong. I certainly never saw aardwolf kept with wallabies on any of my visits; that would have been a very strange mixed exhibit.
