Thank you for this list! I seem to remember a large moose yard, is that gone?

That is now the elephant yard. Moose are supposedly still present at the zoo bts, but I didn't put it on the list due to being unable to confirm this.

Elephants ruin everything! By that I mean they take up so much space when their exhibits are enlarged, at the expense of more interesting creatures like moose!

The Moose are on exhibit again. It's a new exhibit, and you have to pay to see the animatronic dinosaurs to see it.

Have you seen this yourself? I have not heard of such a thing, but having the moose back in some capacity is welcome.

The post reads to me like the Moose is not actually on-exhibit - you can just see the off-exhibit enclosure through gaps in the fence when in the dinosaur area?

I heard from someone else that after that was posted they made an actual viewing area (with a sign and everything), so it is essentially on exhibit.

In the Small Mammals building, are the multiple repeat exhibits combined to make one exhibit, or are the animals rotated in multiple exhibits? (Such as the armadillo and porcupine.)

It is not a big deal, but I believe both of Milwaukee's orangutans, Tommy and Alexandra, are both hybrid individuals. I believe they brought Alexandra to the zoo to provide Tommy with a companion that was also a hybrid, that way the non-hybridized individuals could be paired together at other facilities for breeding.

Regarding the moose topic, I saw on the zoo's website that guests are also able to schedule encounters with the zoo's moose as well.

Thanks! I wasn't exactly sure what the situation with Milwaukee's orangutans was, but they were signed as Bornean and I knew they had at least one hybrid.
