I believe you are referring to the old turtle tank. That seems like a good fit for them too, though I personally like turtles and was kinda hoping we'd get some new ones. Oh well

Yeah it is. Couldn't remember if they had anything else in there since the turtles so that's why I was so vague :p

I also miss the turtles, used to be my favorite exhibit in that building.

According to the zoo's social media pages, there is a new female colobus monkey named Anissa.I asked if the other female, Kibibbi, is still there and haven't gotten a response yet. Anyone been to the zoo recently and seen 3 colobus monkeys?

Anissa came from the Bramble Park Zoo Watertown, South Dakota. She's come here to breed with Elvis

    From the Zoo Twitter account:
"We are welcoming back HueHue Tenango. He was here from June 2000 to July 2010 when the SSP recommended he transfer to the Audubon Zoo. The SSP recommended that he return here so he can be a companion for female spider monkey Myrtle"

There are also new dwarf mongooses. Two males named Sprite (age 6) and Jessie (age 13) join resident female Oakley.
Lots of new arrivals this winter compared to years previous. :D

I’ve been staying waiting to see what’s new if anything with adventure Africa as we are nearing the opening date. Not to mention if they are going to put anything in the elephants old home.

An update to this, Kibbibi is still at the zoo, and has the longest tail of the 3 colobus monkeys now living at the zoo.

Hopefully this won't push back the opening date and make the wait any longer than it already has been. It's hard to believe were just a few months away from this exhibit finally opening after so much speculation and discussion. I suspect we will get an opening date sooner than later at this point.

May 4 is only two months away, how exiting! I thought we'd be waiting at least until Memorial Day weekend. I'm very excited to see the zoo's first major new exhibit in over 2 decades.
