Doesn’t the expansion of the ARC have an iguana exhibit and Komodo dragon exhibit near the anaconda?

Yes to the iguanas. The zoo doesn't have any Komodos.

In the master plan they are calling for a large expansion to the ARC building, with one being for the Komodo dragons and the other for another ocean experience.

In my opinion, Milwaukee's ARC has an amazing collection. I love their aquariums. I've never managed to see their octopus though.

A bit random, but I got this information and I thought I'd share. I recently went to San Diego and it got me thinking about Milwaukee' past with koalas, and how we seemed to go through a lot of koalas in a relatively short amount of time. I emailed the zoo and they were able to give me a timeline of all of the zoos koalas. It is as follows:
    Dajarra (f): Arrived 7/22/1992, died 1/29/1999 Quilpie (f): Arrived 7/22/1992, died 10/3/1999
    Ivor (m): Arrived 11/7/1994, died 7/27/1996 R.T. (m): Arrived 6/23/1997, died 1/27/2003
    Taree (f): Arrived 6/6/2000, died 11/26/2002 Moondani (m): 8/30/2001, left the zoo 12/18/2004
It seems to me that Milwaukee did not have a lot of luck with koalas, as Ivor and Taree died young and we never were able to breed them. We also had two males, Bamba and Muuri, visit in the summer of 2007, and I remember seeing them quiet fondly.
Just some interesting info I thought I'd share :)

I was young the last time the zoo held koalas... had to be about 5 or 6. And I wasn’t there the summer we had them on special exhibit. I know they were in the Australian building but can’t recall where? Does anyone remember where they were?

There used to be another outdoor exhibit that was fenced off from the old kangaroo yard. It was incredibly small and viewed from the now destroyed viewing deck. They may have also used one of the tree kangaroo indoor exhibits as well.

Yes, while we had koalas from 1992-2004 they were in the last 1-3 (depending on how many were there at the time, and if you count one big exhibit being split by a 4ft tall wall as one or two exhibits) on the west side of the building, closest to where the outdoor exhibit was. After they left in 2004, the exhibit(s) became the emu indoor exhibit. Then koalas visited in 2007, and after that, the male tree kangaroo was on exhibit there. Eventually, the younger breeding pair of tree kangaroos (Ranji and Tia) moved there and lived there until the building closed. When the zoo had three koalas, one was kept in the exhibit that had the kookaburra from ~2013-when the building closed.

Yes I also hope that the Australia complex comes back soon because it’s such a unique exhibit. Hopefully it features all the species we once exhibited plus a few new species

    Zoo's Facebook page says:
"Stop by the Aquatic & Reptile Center and check out the new Milk Frogs! They are called milk frogs because they secrete a white sticky "milk" from the parotid gland to protect themselves from predators."
