    I will be spending three nights in Brugges. I've been to brugges several times before, and I know it's a fabulous place!

    Is there any way of getting to Parc paradisio from Brugges? I haven't been since 2003, and really want to see the baby shoebills!

    If not I'll be going back to Antwerp. It's a fabulous zoo, and now chuluugi is back I can get some nice sea otter pictures!

    Thanks in advnace...

    By train is Antwerp the easist offcourse, but Paradisio should go also.
    There is a trainstation in Cambron-Casteau, (the train from Bergen-Aat stops there). From Chambron there should be a parcour by foot to the park. With the B-formula of the NMBS (the trains here), you even can get some profittarifs :)

    But forumbully, the one behind Friends of Paradisio can answer more accurate i think. I have never done Paradisio by train ;)

    By train, of course the Antwerp Zoo is the best thing to do!
    I have never been to Paradisio by train but when you start in Bruges you must switch 2 times on another train.

    Bruges => Brussels midi/zuid
    Brussels midi/zuid => Jurbise
    Jurbise => Cambron-Casteau

    When do you go?

    Wauw, even for Planckendael in Mechelen it is only one switch.
    Is there no better connection to Paradisio then one with two switches?

    the trainconnection to cambron casteau is indeed difficult. as mark said, it takes 2 stop-overs and it's about 2 and a half hours ride from bruges. Also keep in mind that the trainstation is a 15 minute walk from the park.

    On weekdays it's only 2 hours by train (and then the walk up to the parc), in the weekends it's 2hrs 18 mins, or 2.45 hrs, depending on the transfer.
    You can check time tables at NMBS
