    Sun Wukong -
A pedant writes: the zoo is in the west half of the city, the tierpark in the east. The first two times I went there was a big wall between them! Not any more I know. Which half do you live in?

Western Plains Zoo is actually east of most of Australia - do you think it should be renamed? (just kidding)

I am amazed and incredibly impressed by some of the lists on here...

One of the reasons I'm so happy to have found this site is that I get constant **** about my love of zoo's at work, (maybe the Police is not the place to be a zoo geek..!) but by seeing the knowledge (of zoo's) and dedication (by the amount of money spent) to visit them by all of you, I realise I have a lot to learn and have found some kindred spirits...

    Anyway my (brief) list:

    New Zealand:

    Auckland Zoo
    Lion Man Park
    Hamilton Zoo
    Rainbow Springs
    Marineland
    National Aquarium
    Wellington Zoo

    Australia:

    Melbourne Zoo
    Melbourne Aquarium
    Werribee Open Range
    Sydney Aquarium
    Sydney Wildlife World
    Taronga Zoo
    Manly Aquarium
    Western Plains Zoo
    Australia Zoo
    Mooloolaba Aquarium
    Dream World (I don't really coun't this)

    Well that's my list...

I think I have Zoo envy...

Mark - no I'm afraid I borrowed the picture. I've got a few from Cologne but they are very poor due to glass reflection etc

Sun (or is it Wukong? I'm trying to be informal) did you spot my other geopolitical error? Ireland is not in the UK!

@Pygathrix: Yepp-but neither did I want to appear of too much of a nitpicker (was given the broad hint with the "pedant" already...) nor did I want to start any Irish vs. Brits dispute...;)

Sun is formal enough-or You can also refer to me as "Your Royal Simian Highness" ;)

I think most of the people on here are pedants and nit-pickers. I know I am, lol! I just have to try and control it most of the time, as I'm sure most of us do.
