@Kowari: you are 19 years old and have been to 101 zoos, aquariums and wildlife parks? Impressive. I see that there are 64 listed from Germany alone.

 

@snowleopard: I started early enough (at the age of 11) touring around each summer.

 

Have you any images of Lophura erythropthalma pyronota from Plantaria?

 

Unfortunately I didn't see this species on my visit at Plantaria and the entry on Zootierliste was made by someone else.
But perhaps it was being kept backstage. I asked for an inventory list via e-mail, but there was no answer. Next time I'll be there I'll ask a keeper

Fourtunaley l travel o/s allot for work. Most of these zoos l have been to at least twice a few 20 years apart. Amazing to see a huge positive transformation at some.

Just Australia is so dam far away from where most zoos are concentated.

Febuary next year l will be going from North Carolina to Florida by road visiting as many gorilla collections that l can find!
