Been to Cardiff, it was called Barry Zoo I think? They had the chimp Melody from Dudley that later ended up at Twycross. How about Ferndown(Dorset) or Bideford( Devon) zoos?
I guess I have also several collections which no other ZooChatter has visited. To start with a small Belgium collection which no longer exist and from which even members of a Belgium Zoo-forum hardly had ever heared when I asked for more info about this collection. Also Zootierliste don't list it ! Stockmanshoeve at Sijsele-Damme - which I visited several times in the mid-1970s has however a place in our own Gallery because I took some photos of a few animals at the collection ( Toco toucan and White-nosed monkey ). Next to these I remember it was beloved by sport fishermen because there was a number of fishing ponds, Andean condors, several other monkeys ( not sure anymore which species ), and some birds. Not a great collection but evenso I guess I'm the only ZooChatter even been in this one
The only public facility I have been to that I know no other ZooChatter would have been to would be the Moonridge Alpine Zoo in big bear California if you count it as seperate from the old zoo. Another would be the SeaLab in Redondo Beach California but it wouldn’t shock me if snow leopard has visited that facility.
Here's the zoos I have visited that I don't think any other ZooChatter has visited: -Wisconsin Rapids Municipal Zoo (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) -Butterfly Gardens of Wisconsin (Appleton, WI) -Gabbert Raptor Center (St. Paul, MN) -Fox River Environmental Education Alliance (FREEA) (Now closed, formerly Appleton, WI) -Anello's Torch Lite Petting Zoo (Shawano, WI) -Ararat Ridge Zoo (Williamstown, KY) -Jack R. Facente Serpentarium (MToxins Venom Lab) (Oshkosh, WI) -Shamba Safari (Neshkoro, WI) There's also several collections I've visited that I know I am one of only two ZooChatters to have visited (with the other person being @snowleopard in all but one of those cases).
Zoomat in Chiapas Irapuato zoo Leon zoo Animaya in Yucatán Acuario Inbursa in México City Acuario Michin in Guadalajara Los Coyotes zoo in México City Zoológico del Altiplano in Tlaxcala Neza zoo or Parque del Pueblo in Estado de Mexico All have photos in the galleries
Hate to burst your bubble, but if you check the gallery you'll see that @Hix and I have both visited as well very cool to have someone else who's seen it though! It's a neat facility. The only place that comes to mind as a decent possibility for me is Navajo Nation Zoo in Arizona, which I visited last November. I thought I might have been the first to visit the Greenville Zoo in South Carolina, but I realized just the other day that @drill has been there also; I was the first person to upload media of it to the gallery, however. Two other places where I was the first to upload media and possibly the first to visit on this forum were Leesburg Animal Park in Virginia and Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo in Hawaii, but since then others on the site have visited also.
Nix asked if I can upload one yesterday, but I sadly can no longer upload media, until I post more I believe. But when I can again, I have Knysna turaco photos from Birds of Eden Also I have visited Emerald Resort Animal World which I don't think any other zoo chatter has visited since I had to ask to get it added (well Nix asked since he wanted to see photos, sadly I didn't have too much at that time)
Take that one off the list then. Do you have any photos? I've visited twice but that was before I regularly took photos at zoos.
All times were before I started to take photos, so unfortunately none at the moment. I might be back some time soon to take photos, but I’m not sure when that will be.
Don't think I'm the first/only one to visit these four places in Newfoundland as there is a long absent member from the island, but I suspect I'm the only active member to have visited Salmonier Nature Park, The Fluvarium, Petty Harbor Mini Aquarium, and the live exhibits at Terra Nova NP visitor's center. I am the only one to have uploaded photos from Salmonier and Petty Harbor to the gallery; I have plans to get around to uploading more photos from all four places shortly as they are unrepresented otherwise.
Has anyone else been to Lambton Lion Park? My father had a baboon handprint on his windscreen for a few days after the visit
Has anyone here ever been to parque del este zoo in Venezuela? I went many years ago , and it is the only zoo in Venezuela I ever visited.
