A mother ptarmigan and 2.4 chicks have been transferred to the ptarmigan breeding center. The flock were raised in a protected area in the mountains. There’s also plans to collaborate with the nagano chasuyama zoo. But I don’t think google Chrome’s translator did a good job with the explanation.

I am absolutely obsessed with Japanese zoos, and I really want to plan a trip to Japan some time, especially because of how many shoebill storks they have (In walkthrough enclosures, no less)

I think it's getting less response because there aren't that many Japanese ZooChatters

I did understand why people just don’t respond a bit later but I’d understand why people wouldn’t show interest to Japanese zoos, many of which are unknown and have collections more homogenized than American zoos.

The park has been able to reach the 30 million yen goal. There’s still a stretch goal of 5 million yen for the gamete bank and stg activities.

The Crowd funding is over. Not only has the park achived the stretch goals, but they also achieved 6 million extra yen. I sure hope that the extra money is managed well.

2.1 sand cats are born and are being nursed by their mother.

The upcoming amur tiger exhibit and the upgraded pallas cat habitat have got new names picked by the backers of the crowdfunding. The names are "Siberian Territory" for the tiger enclosure and "Manul Amalhan (a mongolian word that does not seem to be recognized in English)" for the manul enclosure
