I passed going to the aviary tomorrow and now I see they have cock-of-the-rock and capuchinbirds! Perhaps I'll have to go the following weekend!

    Hatchings & Acquisitions
Hatchings: 2 Falcated Ducks, 1 Vicoria Crowned Pigeon and 1 Troupial.
Acquisitions: 1 Brown Pelican, 1 Curl-crested Aracari, 2 Red-billed Hornbill, 1 Turquoise Tanager, 2 Bufflehead, New Female Tawny Frogmouth for the frogmouth ssp and two pairs of White-throated Bee-eaters.
Also of Note, the Aviary has welcomed a pair of Edward's Pheasant. The Aviary is working with the Species Survival Plan With only 16 zoos and 50 individuals involved. This Habitat will be renamed The Treetops as we welcome new birds this spring!

A toco toucan is now on exhibit near the parking lot gift shop (where the lesser birds of paradise were previously on display).
