    There are zoos in Australia with substantially larger collections that get by, and are growing, with considerably less than 35,000 visitors a year. How much does it cost to visit Natureland? I can't help thinking that perhaps this zoo needs to cut costs if it's going to survive.

    it was $5 for adults in 2008, but when Orana took it over the price went up to $9 (and, I hear, a lot of locals stopped going because they considered the cost too high). It really is a very tiny zoo.

    Perhaps Natureland is simply not viable... Certainly I wouldn't pay $9 to see meerkats, wallabies, capuchins, a porcupine, some farm animals and a small collection of birds.
