The White-Winged Flufftail is a Critically Endangered species that was previously thought to breed only in Ethiopia, and winter in various locations in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Lesotho. Recent studies however, show that this species is actually a non-migratory species, and breeds in both places. This changes everything we though we knew about this species, and the conservation actions that need to take place.
