This jaguar has been known and photographed fairly regularly for at least three years. So it is not really news, but still exciting! (Especially since it is close to my home).

The group that is cosponsoring this video news release, the Center for Biological Diversity, is in my opinion an extremist environmental organization that wastes everyone's time by filing frivolous lawsuits. Now that they have their own footage, they are using it to create a "news" item where only old news exists. Jaguars are protected already in the United States and their efforts are completely unnecessary. Just my opinion. Whey they forced US Fish and Wildlife to create critical habitat for jaguars, even the respected Panthera via jaguar expert Alan Rabinowitz criticized the move and lambasted the Center for wasting Fish and Wildlife resources that could have been spent on needed species recovery.

Is this the first time people have recorded footage of him?
