    Zoo des Sables d'Olonne :
New in 2011 - The Australian Aviary

The Zoo des Sables d'Olonne is a small french zoo (3 ha) that can't expant because it is surrounded by habitations. So, he is obliged to replace some animals by others.
In this context, in 2010, the sumatran's tigers pair was sent to Osnabrück Zoo (Germany).

On the same area, a large walk-through australian-themed aviary is in work (and planned for summer 2011). Visitors will walk on a bridge inside and they'll see birds flying around them. The species list isn't definitive, but there will be rainbow lorikeets, different parakeets and cockatoos and, on the floor, tammar wallabies.
