Here are some details of the new Humboldt penguin exhibit that opens on May 2nd: Make a Splash for Penguins If you scroll halfway down the page on this next link there are a couple of photos of the almost finished, 17,000 square foot exhibit. The penguin pool has now been filled with water for the first and last time and is just about ready to be occupied. There will be about 20 of the black-and-white birds at the zoo when the habitat opens to the public in less than 3 months. The old enclosure was a 60 year-old former seal pool, and the new, much more naturalistic exhibit has been built on the exact same site. Woodland Park Zoo Blog | Naturally Inspiring
