A new arrival in the nocturnal house is worth a visit.... A female Bengal slow loris, rescued from the Maldives with monkey world, Dorset. Now happy with a companion, Doris. "Bu" is settling in well and is very actively following Doris around and exploring the enclosure.

Fantastic news :) do you know if she is young enough to potentially breed? To my knowledge the Bengal Slow Loris has never bred within the UK before, but this may be complicated by the fact that it was not split from the Sunda Loris until relatively recently; as such some breedings of the latter taxon *might* actually apply to the Bengal. Either way, I believe there are males knocking around in Europe so hopefully you will get one in the fullness of time.

I suspect the older of the two females will be too old to breed, however.
